Roberto Enrique Clemente Zabala is the youngest son of the Puerto Rican Astro and Major League Baseball player Roberto Enrique Clemente Walker (RIP) and Doña Vera Cristina Zabala Serrano (MLB Ambassador) (RIP). He was born May 20, 1969 in San Juan, PR and played baseball until the age of 13. His shyness and wish to remain out of the public’s eye lead him to leave the sport and focus on being a kind, humble man, a good father, husband, brother, and son.
He worked at the Centro Medico de PR, National Surveillance Corps as a volunteer, Centro Grafico del Caribe where he served as a security guard and the Port Authority, Rod Rodder. He’s served the Foundation since the age of 21 along with his brothers Luis Roberto and Roberto Jr. Clemente. While working at the Ciudad Deportiva Roberto Clemente he chose to work in the green areas and maintenance preferring to ride a tractor and keep the areas maintained for the enjoyment of those who went there.
He’s constantly focused on helping others without expecting anything in return, honoring the education and legacy of his parents..
