Dr. John Metz is an orthodontist from Land O’ Lakes, Florida, and an organizational leader in his specialty. He was a member of the Executive Board of the Florida Association of Orthodontists for over ten years, serving as President from 2024-2025. He is a member of the Annual Meeting planning committee for the Southern Society of Orthodontists and served on the American Association of Orthodontists Council on Orthodontic Healthcare.
He is proud to serve as a part-time faculty member at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, helping instruct orthodontic residents at the university where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree and completed his orthodontic residency.
As a life-long fan of Roberto Clemente, Dr. Metz has volunteered his time at Roberto Clemente Foundation baseball clinics, and in 2024 spearheaded a Bike Build in Orlando, Florida to honor the legacy of Roberto Clemente. At the event, 100 volunteers built 121 bikes for kids in less than 2 hours. Dr. Metz is thrilled to be part of the Clemente Foundation Board and carry out the service-focused mission of his greatest hero.
